Material Handler

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

This position will be responsible for all facets of work in the raw material warehouse, including, but not limited to: physical and systematic raw material movements, inbound and outbound material movements and supporting the manufacturing departments.  This position will also support the Inventory Control team by performing cycle counts of our products, researching inventory variances, and entering adjustments in the perpetual inventory, all while respecting company system transaction policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Build raw material kits for Manufacturing departments
  • Perform daily cycle counts, entering necessary inventory adjustments in the perpetual inventory system
  • Check received items against packing list and record discrepancies
  • Data entry of receipts, stockroom, and shipped items
  • Document incoming and outgoing material and supplies
  • Must follow prescribed procedures for safeguarding, storage, handing and accounting for item and material designated as classified, restricted, special project, or high priority
  • Follows and comprehends written instructions/requests
  • Communicates inventory concerns with Inventory Control, Fulfillment, Production Planning & Manufacturing departments
  • Assists in monthly and year end physical inventory activities
  • Contributes to the company’s and department’s Safety goals and initiatives by following all company safety policies and practices while effectively communicating any concerns

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
 

  • Knowledge of plant operations (manufacturing & maintenance), as well as, familiar with cGMP’s and safety regulations
  • Inventory Control experience required including performing cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Highly detail orientated with excellent organizational skills
  • Able to communicate information clearly and concisely
  • Familiar with computers and Microsoft Office programs
  • Good organizational skills to track both paper and electronic files timely
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As a team member, operate machinery and equipment that manufactures the highest quality vitamins and supplements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:    

Set up lines and run all related machinery and equipment.  Inspect finished products.  Ability to recognize mechanical opportunities and proactively coordinate with the Maintenance Team .

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of related manufacturing experience required, ideally in a cGMP environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, and transpose information accurately from work orders, labels and product lot documents.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand long periods of time.

Regulatory Assistant

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Assist the Regulatory team with projects related to the labeling and marketing of dietary supplements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Assist the Director of Regulatory Affairs and the Regulatory Affairs Specialists in establishing procedures to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in reviewing dietary supplement product labels and labeling, including marketing materials for regulatory compliance.
  • Keep current with industry laws and regulations relating to advertising and promotion. 
  • Develop and organize New Dietary Ingredient files and manage product substantiation files,
  • Manage label registry and database and supplement fact panel changes.
  • Develop and maintain positive rapport and working relationships within and across departments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of related work experience 
  • Bachelors degree preferred ideally with an emphasis in General Sciences, Nutrition or Food Science

Responsible for the collection, storage, maintenance and sharing of regulatory and compliance documentation. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide document support to R&D, QC, Regulatory and Purchasing
  • Request documentation and supporting information -Review for completeness- Route and track for approval - Communicate approval or rejection to appropriate departments.
  • Provide data to QC in response to customer inquiries
  • Maintain Document control library for audit readiness
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain compliance paperwork as Certificates of Analysis

Director of Supply Chain and Logistics

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

In this newly created position, the successful candidate will oversee areas of supply chain to include:  planning, procurement, warehousing and logistics.    Specifically, this role works to help create a plan that addresses the needs of revenue, inventory, service-level and margin optimization by driving fact-based decision making across the organization and includes stakeholders such as Finance, Marketing and Sales.  The results will ensure not only optimized operating plans but also help to support new products, portfolio optimization and commercialization strategies.  All of these activities are to be managed in accordance with the company’s goals of safety, quality, regulatory preparedness, financial performance, environmental mission, inventory controls and customer service.  This is a highly interactive position with peers in many other disciplines of the business.  The ability to prioritize, be decisive and demonstrate good judgement is imperative in this role.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee development of Supply Chain vision and strategies to support future growth to include: Demand Planning, Production Planning and Materials Planning and drive consensus utilizing collaborative S&OP process.
  • Develop and implement forecasting and deployment strategies for existing business as well as new opportunities
  • Provides a clear vision and clarity for the management of planning processes relating to co-manufacturers
  • Oversee management of procurement processes
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce supply chain costs and drive continuous improvement
  • Drive execution of the operations commercialization process to ensure successful launches of new products.
  • Oversee development of Logistics strategies to include: Inventory Control, Warehousing/Fulfillment, Transportation and Customer Service
  • Monitor adherence to inventory policies and procedures as well as oversee the inventory cycle count program.
  • Utilize continuous improvement approach to develop and execute processes to drive sustainable Supply Chain improvements
  • Identifies and assesses the impact of changing customer requirements.
  • Deliver area financial commitments to business operating plans, financial cycles and medium-term financial updates..
  • Leads, manages, and develops department staff to maximize productivity and to maintain high team morale. Promotes a positive culture and is capable of team building to ensure employees will work well together to increase efficiency and productivity

  • Requires four year college degree or its equivalent; MBA preferred.

  • Ability to recognize strengths and weaknesses of key customers and develop activities to optimize the entire company value model, containing cost as needed while driving  continuous improvement
  • Experience in managing managers and cross-functional teams, including experience in re-building a department or area and successfully managing a team through substantial change.

  • Ability to successfully manage a direct staff of 3, with overall responsibility for a staff of 30+ additional employees.

Utilizes USP or established methods to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze routine substances.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Prepares chemical reagents needed to perform routine testing. 
  • Conducts ordering and stocking of laboratory supplies.
  • Provides assistance with chemical tracking and disposal. 
  • Recommends new and replacement supplies and equipment necessary to meet client requests and quality objectives.  

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  •  1 – 2 years laboratory experience. 
  • The ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize and plan multiple work activities with varying deadlines and complexities. 
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.  
  • A working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, procedures, and instrumentation used in a chemistry laboratory.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Reporting to the CEO, the Managing Director of INNATE Response will drive short and long term growth for our practitioner brand through excellence in brand strategy, financial P&L management, superior marketing campaigns, and customer engagement. This role will oversee all functions within INNATE Response including Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience and work closely with internal and external partners to drive the growth of INNATE Response.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects of the P&L to ensure INNATE Response delivers on annual financial objectives - sales, profit and goals.   
  • Beyond the annual P&L, this role will lead the development of longer term strategy planning – the 5 year growth strategy and go to market plan.  
  • Help develop a first class customer engagement strategy with our top customers and distributors.
  • This role will bring all our expertise into one cohesive growth strategy for our top customers including brand strategy, innovation, education, insights, and category leadership.   
  • Drive excellence in all aspects of marketing execution including best in class consumer campaigns, promotions, pricing, and product launches.  
  • Work closes with Product Innovation and external partners to ensure we have a strong and relevant product pipeline that delivers short and long term growth objectives.
  • Help drive annual business planning and budget planning process.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • You have a proven track record of at least 10-12+ years of  management experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods environment.
  • You must be mission driven with a passion for health and wellness and speak the language of practitioners.
  • You must have a proven track record of creating a vision and translating the vision into actionable items with a small team.
  • You must have strong brand management experience managing products in various stages of life cycle.
  • You must be a superior leader who is not afraid of failure and with the ability to motivate teams, develop individuals, and drive success and transfer enthusiasm in a positive inspiring way.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

The Vice President Sales for MegaFood functions as a member of the FoodState Executive Team.  The successful candidate will create customer value by providing the vision, leadership, strategy and general management skills necessary to grow MegaFood Sales as a dominant player in the whole food supplement industry.  She/he will plan, organize, direct and control the sales activities to ensure the advancement of the company’s vision, mission, strategies and objectives to promote revenue, profitability and growth.   This Vice President ensures customer service levels are maintained and cultivates mutually beneficial relationships with customers / clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Lead, develop and implement MegaFood’s sales strategies ensuring profitable growth
  • Play a significant role in building, managing, and leading MegaFood sales efforts including P&L budget, ROI planning and goal setting
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional business partners to optimize growth and profitability
  • Work cross functionally with the Senior Leadership Team to create a customer management model that creates new skills and capabilities within the company, as well as leverage consumer insights, marketing and innovation for growth

  • Direct and guide operational and tactical activities, including sales, financial and operational aspects, with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability
  • Develop and execute MegaFood’s sales vision and strategy to support FoodState’s strategic and financial targets
  • Develop and implement a competitive sales compensation plan including annual goal setting
  • Keep current with short and long-term market trends and adjust MegaFood’s sales strategy accordingly
  • Partner with Customer Experience to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of product orders and ensure high level of customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Brand, IT, Operations, and Numbers Teams)
  • Responsible for tackling volume metrics, business drivers and costs to make informed decisions and meet P & L targets
  • Ensure effective organization systems, procedures and controls are established and maintained
  • Build a culture of innovation by driving knowledge and best practice throughout the MegaFood sales organization

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive Sales and Sales leadership experience including successfully developing and implementing sales strategies and business plans with proven ability to deliver sales targets
  • Successful sales leadership and organizational change-agent within a consumer-oriented company
  • Visionary, possessing strong strategic planning skills broader than field sales that can deliver results through operational and executional excellence
  • Proven ability to seize opportunities within emerging markets and a demonstrated ability to evaluate, plan, implement and influence change throughout the organization to ensure superior results across all customers and channels of trade
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively throughout an organization
  • Strong financial acumen and proven track record in building and managing P&L

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for leading project management activities supporting both MegaFood and INNATE Response projects as assigned by the Director of Product Development, including: developing detailed project plans, resource requirements, managing, monitoring and controlling all project activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Work to define project scope, goals, and deliverables on assigned projects.
  • Develop detailed project plans with defined timelines, dependencies, owner of activities and resource requirements.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope by identifying potential risks and exercise sound business judgment in developing solution to mitigate risk and keep projects on track.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders, and lead project update meetings, maintain project schedule, resource utilization, and prepare weekly/monthly project reports.
  • May coach, mentor, motivate and oversee project team members, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Conduct post completion project reviews to identify successes and opportunities and management effectiveness and project success

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a four-year college or university degree or its equivalent.
  • Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
  • Requires 3-5 or more years’ experience, preferably in project management role in a consumer goods manufacturing environment or similar environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiar with project management tools, including MS Project, Agile (PPM), or Gantt
  • Requires highly effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership, organization and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence, encourage and motivate.
