Laboratory Technician

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Utilizes USP or established methods to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze routine substances.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Prepares chemical reagents needed to perform routine testing. 
  • Conducts ordering and stocking of laboratory supplies.
  • Provides assistance with chemical tracking and disposal. 
  • Recommends new and replacement supplies and equipment necessary to meet client requests and quality objectives.  

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  •  1 – 2 years laboratory experience. 
  • The ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize and plan multiple work activities with varying deadlines and complexities.

Learning and Development Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:
 

This highly visible, hands-on position will work collaboratively with the Leadership Team and subject matter experts to deliver transformational learning experiences to all levels of the organization with a focus on developing leadership capabilities. This position will be responsible for programmatic and consultative work associated with leadership development content and programs. This includes consulting with executive team members and employees to assess learning needs, employee readiness and performance gaps to develop strategies that align with FoodState’s business goals and objectives. This position is responsible for managing communication and execution of training initiatives and programs, reserving training space, ordering necessary supplies, room set up and break down, and material inventory and preparation. This position will also be responsible for the execution of FoodState’s formal new employee onboarding program.  This position is responsible to ensure the highest quality plans are developed and implemented that are aligned with the talent needs of the business, linked to FoodState’s key competencies, and values the cultural framework of FoodState.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Identify, design and manage targeted talent development programs, tools and processes that enhance the capability of key leaders for the entire organization.
  • Collaborate with the the Executive Leadership team to develop a succession planning model for FoodState.
  • Identify a custom FoodState portfolio of development experiences and tools for senior leaders, hi-potentials and developing managers/leaders, and tracks participation and impact of those for accelerating development.
  • Support FoodState’s Learning Management System (LMS), rollout,  design, content, and metrics.
  • Conduct organizational needs assessments to determine knowledge and skills gaps.
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, develop an overall training plan to help resolve identified skills gaps and topical training initiatives (Onboarding, Asana, Expensify, sales tools) within the company.
  • Implement metrics and analytics that effectively measure, benchmark and monitor the learning and development impact to the organization.
  • Work with external educators, vendors and consultants when necessary, and negotiate cost-effective solutions.
  • Stay abreast of latest developments in management, leadership, and organizational development areas to serve as subject matter expert and internal consultant regarding critical people issues, team effectiveness, change management, employee engagement and cultural transformation.
  • Ensure that the company’s performance management system is a tool that encourages ownership of employee development opportunities and identifies essential  competency needs by employee role/leadership level.
  • Keep current on effective training delivery and/or curriculum development techniques.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • L&D EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 - 6 years in learning & development roles in a dynamic environment– including true ownership and execution of design, development, execution and measurement
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Planning and executing learning and development initiatives/events – managing multiple projects at once and thriving with both long term planning and immediate needs
  • PRODUCING RESULTS: Moving from ideas to action quickly and constantly moving things forward
  • USING TECHNOLOGY: Comfortable with basic productivity software (MS Office, Google Apps, Asana), Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone is a plus!) and platforms (online, mobile, social, etc), webinar/video conferencing tools
  • DETAIL ORIENTATION: Relentless quality control (grammar, voice, accuracy) and design application (branding, style aesthetics) in content and experiences

Strategic Account Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

In this new role, the Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for the oversight, leadership and development of FoodState’s national distribution for both the MegaFood and INNATE Response brands in the practitioner channel.   The successful leader will strategize with our sales team, act as a practitioner channel expert and collaborate in developing our brand and go-to-market strategies.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:


The Director of DTC Marketing is responsible for FoodState’s digital revenue generation strategy. This includes the management of both owned 1st party ecommerce and direct to consumer strategy as well as customer marketing for 3rd party channels such as Amazon.com, and several smaller internet retailers.

The position also manages the strategic and tactical direction of our digital efforts to drive awareness and conversion online. The Director will lead integrated marketing strategy and drive growth through data-driven marketing, digital demand generation campaigns and product positioning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Strategy:

  • Develop and execute robust ecommerce marketing and revenue generation strategy with short and long term KPIs.
  • Develop customer acquisition and retention strategies (email marketing, loyalty / subscription programs). Develop and manage execution of SEO/SEM strategy.
  • Develop and manage execution of all digital marketing initiatives including email, paid media, and promotions.
  • Develop and manage execution of strategies which increase traffic, conversion rates, and average order value across all ecommerce channels and partner sites.
  • Create online promotion calendar and work closely with Brand Management to coordinate efforts in retail.

Analytics:

  • Must be able to qualitatively and quantitatively measure results and achieve financial goals and KPIs using Micosoft Excel, Google Suite, and new analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in social and digital analytics, including but not limited to site traffic, conversion, spend, click-through rate, etc. Manage and track media budgets and sales forecasting for online.
  • Conduct online surveys, A/B testing, and the ability to effectively analyze feedback.

Management & Communication:

  • Ability to develop and manage a resource network to accomplish implementation needs.
  • Ability to manage design and development teams to create high quality websites and landing pages that result in increased sales.
  • Ability to work directly with Logistics and Supply Chain departments to achieve exemplary consumer and customer experiences, ensure inventory for promotions, and focus promotional strategy on short code product.
  • Work with Brand Management to prepare and execute the digital aspect of new product launches into market.
  • Work directly with Communications Manager to use social media, content, influencers and PR to support E-Commerce strategy.
  • Must have experience selling and managing online marketplaces - Amazon / Walmart.com


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 10+ years experience in an ecommerce management position.
  • Experience with ecommerce and digital marketing platforms such as shopify, mailchimp and adobe creative suite.
  • Experience deploying a successful email marketing automation program.
  • Experience leading web development projects.
  • Must have extensive experience selling and marketing products on Amazon.com.
  • Extensive knowledge of e-commerce platforms, technology, trends and sophisticated analytics.
  • Experience with digital analytics reporting tools.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Direct projects and a Research and Development Team while ensuring that FoodState’s meets its objectives for researching and developing new products and improving existing products.  Ensure that projects and products meet customer demands and contribute to FoodState’s revenue growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct the Research and Development (R&D) team, from new product proposal to commercialization.
  • Drive accountability, consistency, quality, and process standardization across all phases of research and development.
  • Develop and monitor research plans and budgets for R&D projects, ensuring projects are completed on time and within cost objectives.
  • Coordinate Science, Research and Technical aspects of projects.
  • Ensure that stakeholders are kept fully informed.
  • Act as R & D subject matter expert and collaborator/advisor with the Brand and Operations Teams regarding manufacturing capabilities, product and machine acquisitions, market trends, and new technologies.

  • Reviews, updates and documents all departmental processes and SOP's, including trouble-shooting, safety, and preventive maintenance methods.

Materials Planning Manager

Primary Purpose and Functions:

Manages the materials planning department and oversees the procurement of raw materials, supplies, services and equipment.  Develop procurement strategies for the acquisition of raw materials and supplies at FoodState.

Essential Job Functions/Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for all raw material planning and procurement activities supporting manufacturing
  • Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules.
  • Maintains adequate levels of material in support of the manufacturing organization while adhering to inventory objectives.
  • Ensure Materials Requirements Planning system (MRP) is maintained commensurate with the Master Production Schedule.
  • Insures compliance with all applicable requirements and procedures.
  • Develop strategies for maintaining supply of raw materials at lowest cost with least business risk (safety stock, consignment, VMI, lead times, order qty’s, etc.).  
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with all key suppliers.
  • Analyze and recommend solutions for all issues relating to supplier’s performance based on quality, delivery, price, and overall effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Review and resolve any discrepancies with supplier invoices, grievances, claims, conflicts, product non-conformance or quality issues.
  • Create and implement tools such as KPI’s, scorecards and roadmaps to achieve targets.
  • Provide raw material projections to key suppliers/sourcers to ensure product availability on a timely basis.
  • Provide the Numbers Team with periodic raw material costs to assist in maintaining product costing, and projected raw material and finished goods costs.
  • In conjunction with sourcing, arrange supplier meetings to review business needs and resolve any problems or issues as needed.
  • Communicate all pertinent issues and concerns regarding suppliers, raw materials, and finished goods to all appropriate staff.
  • Assist in creating and maintain accountability for department budget.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain partnerships with key suppliers
  • Manage process for understanding business risk related to purchased parts and implement plans to mitigate high risk areas.
  • Manage the resources of the procurement department and all personnel related issues.
  • Create purchase orders for raw materials in support of ongoing operations and projects. Coordinate order confirmations, monitor deliveries delivery dates. Expedite POs when necessary.
  • Manage administrative, order related tasks, e.g. order process for return shipments, reconciliations for mismatching quantities on invoices, missing shipping documents, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor Degree preferred in related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of related materials planning and procurement experience preferably in the food or nutrient processing/manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team; strong communication skills; excellent customer service skills; and the ability to apply strong sound business judgement.
  • Ability to compile and analyze data, prepare reports and present information to groups.
  • Excellent time management, project management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Strong computer skills specifically with Google apps, MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of MRP systems as well as experience with an ERP system and/or ERP implementations. Experience with NAV would be a plus.
  • Proven track record of controlling and reducing external spending while developing a robust supplier base.
  • Ability to maintain a continuously changing list of urgent priorities.

Product Development Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

The Product Development Specialist is the lead on the Brand team to conduct analysis of market, category, competitive environment, trends and consumer preferences for application to the development of FoodState nutrients and supplements.  Works closely with members of the Brand team, to create business cases, project scopes and critical new product documentations for executive approval and cross-functional team direction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Research and develop new product concepts and business cases to support 18 month pipeline and brand strategic plans. Brand team lead to manage product renovations that require new ingredient(s) and/or formulations.
  • Content development and claim substantiation for new products & associated labelling. Collaborate with Brand team to ensure new products/ingredients meet brand pillars and quality requirements from ideation to finished product.
  • Manage and track KPIs for new product performance against business case. Conduct post-launch autopsy to evaluate/improve internal processes, product experience, forecast accuracy, quality and overall market response. KPI monthly tracking for the first 18 months of a product life and generate reports for monthly FoodState leadership meetings.
  • Lead in generating all preliminary and working forecasts to support business cases and operational commercialization. Collaborate with Innate Response team in the initial creative development process of brand messaging, artwork, product content, positioning and educational materials.  
  • Quarterly evaluation and reporting of product sales to identify where products/category performance is relative to market place and product life cycle.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Gather and analyze relevant, timely, consistent data and reporting from various sources to create a comprehensive view of overall sales performance. Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for MegaFood and INNATE Response brands. This includes but is not limited to campaign performance metrics and marketing contribution.  Digest complex data and deliver easily understood insights to internal stakeholders.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Digs deeply into the data to find patterns and areas for improvements.
  • Synthesizes insight that allows for improved performance, best practice development, resulting in the optimization of Sales Operations as a resource to the company.
  • Through analysis, trending, and comparison to industry and peer benchmarks, diagnoses areas of focus related to Sales performance.
  • With the Sales Operations Leader, creates a forum and a cadence for a collaborative review of results and driving performance measures to Sales Leaders.
  • Ensures adequacy and accuracy of reporting by applying business knowledge and data analysis.
  • Defines specifications for additional reporting requirements.
  • Manage SPINS and Nielsen data mining and reporting.
  • In support of national Sales force, generate sales analysis and interpret results including return on investment. 
  • Analyze data direct from our customers, point of-sale transactions and other third-party providers.  Make recommendations that support business improvements and growth.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis, and translate analytics to easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations.
  • Proven experience understanding of the relationship between sales performance and business success.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As part of the INNATE Response Team, the Sales Coordinator performs various administrative functions including compilng and creating sales reports. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Builds and maintains tracking documents for sales related activities.
  • Lead the monthly buy plan process with strategic accounts from data collection to final order logistics and timing.
  • Develops and maintains key account plans for Strategic Accounts.
  • Generates ad-hoc reporting as requested by Director of Strategic Accounts.
  • Monitor and report on all compliance, including but not limited to MAP, Brand Protection and FBA enforcement.  
  • Work with Strategic Partner to file and enforce INNATE Respons's iMAP policies.
  • Provides daily, weekly and monthly tracking of iMAP compliance.
  • Implementation of marketing and promotional activities with Strategic Accounts while adhering to agreed upon strategic plans and timelines.
  • Support the  introduction of new product launches with necessary documentation and required materials.
  • Coordination of monthly promotional related activities including and not limited to coupons, promos, and sales spiffs.
  • Addresses customer concerns related to orders, logistics, quality and product related questions.
  • Work with Strategic Accounts to plan meetings including tours and brand related activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Intermediate Excel experience including VLookup and Pivot Tables.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Sales Coordination role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to detail.

IT Help Desk Technician - Great Opportunity!

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

The purpose of this role is to provide on-site end-user technical support for a range of core infrastructure, workplace solutions and business application services ensuring end-user service level expectations are delivered in a courteous and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

  • Provides seamless first-level IT support to end-users for desktops, laptops, terminals, servers, network equipment, video systems, telephone systems, printers, fax machines, email, file sharing, collaboration tools and business applications.
  • Coordinates the procurement and installation of core infrastructure with vendors.
  • Coordinates and/or performs hands-on fixes to end-user devices including installing and upgrading hardware and software and configuring systems and applications.
  • Identify, research and resolves all incidents, problems and changes in line with service level expectations ensuring all end-users and stake-holders affected are kept up-to-date on status where necessary.
  • Maintains inventory of hardware assets and software licenses.
  • Creates and maintains end user documentation on procedures
  • Creates and administers Active Directory and Google Suite user accounts.
  • Assist in the telecommunication and video systems
  • Support the new hire process and on-boarding for all new employees, work closely with HR to make sure objectives are met and process runs smoothly.
  • Support the IT Manager and Core Infrastructure Technician with duties.
  • Records and documents all incidents, problems and changes in IT Helpdesk system.
  • Ensures IT risks are minimized by adopting best-practice solutions and enforcing FoodState IT policy.
  • Manages and maintains IT infrastructure documentation in line with FoodState IT practices, maintenance procedures and contractual obligations.
  • Keeps up-to-date with IT technologies that can provide competitive advantages through appropriate learning and development.
     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline, or commiserate work experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in core infrastructure and workplace solutions support in a multi-site manufacturing or service desk environment.
  • Understanding of the ITIL Framework (Incident / Change / Problem Management procedures and best practice), ITIL certification a plus.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of major technology areas, platforms, development processes and system lifecycles.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Good phone skills and an ability to provide technical support over the phone.
  • Good problem solving skills and techniques.
  • Ability to switch between tasks and multitask effectively during peak times.
  • Experience working within a multi-site organization or group.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
