Machine Operator: 2nd Shift

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As a team member, operate machinery and equipment that manufactures the highest quality vitamins and supplements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:    

Set up lines and run all related machinery and equipment.  Inspect finished products.  Ability to recognize mechanical opportunities and proactively coordinate with the Maintenance Team .

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of related manufacturing experience required, ideally in a cGMP environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, and transpose information accurately from work orders, labels and product lot documents.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand long periods of time.

National Account Coordinator

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

The MegaFood National Account Coordinator will be focused on field execution of programming by working closely with the National Account Manager and the Regional Sales Leaders to ensure flawless execution of events and initiatives.  This role will also assist the Internet Account Manager.  This dynamic, retailer-facing role  requires  the ability to drive the day to day ongoing goals, objectives and management of the details associated with supporting strategic channels with a primary focus on Whole Foods Market, The Vitamin Shoppe and Internet Accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Assist in the execution of all National Account project initiatives and support all strategic Ecom initiatives.
  • Responsible for all national account paperwork including new item forms, discontinued item forms, promo submissions, new items presentations and sample delivery.
  • Serve as a pivotal contact supporting our largest omni channel customer in growth and development by increasing our communications and touch counts with decision makers and support personnel covering both brick and mortar and digital revenue streams.
  • Share responsibility in managing our distribution business that is connected with Whole Foods Market, including participation in internal strategy discussions and communication to the field representatives.
  • Manage internal communications regarding product ship times for promotions, events, new stores and new sku placement.
  • Responsible for managing all portals and the logistical portions of price increases or product changes needed.
  • Responsible for budgeting, staffing, set up and attending table top shows, special events  and pop up events.
  • Actively participate in strategic team planning and execution.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in the Natural Health Food industry an asset
  • Experience with ecommerce and/or distribution accounts preferred.

The Customer Experience Representative will assist our MegaFood brand by interacting with customers, specifically by providing and processing information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products, services and orders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works directly with customers via incoming calls, faxes, website and emails
  • Responds promptly to customer inquiries, special requests and technical questions
  • Processes new accounts, orders, applications, credit maintenance requests
  • Performs customer verifications and maintains professional licensing documentation
  • Maintains customer information (call tags, invoices, credits, and returns)

Product Development Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

The Product Development Specialist will take the lead on our team to conduct analysis of market, category, competitive environment, trends and consumer preferences for application to the development of FoodState nutrients and supplements.  Works closely with other team members, to create business cases, project scopes and critical new product documentations for executive approval and cross-functional team direction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Research and develop new product concepts and business cases to support 18 month pipeline and brand strategic plans. Team lead to manage product renovations that require new ingredient(s) and/or formulations.
  • Content development and claim substantiation for new products and associated labeling. Collaborate to ensure new products/ingredients meet brand pillars and quality requirements from ideation to finished product.
  • Manage and track KPIs for new product performance against business case. Conduct post-launch autopsy to evaluate/improve internal processes, product experience, forecast accuracy, quality and overall market response.
  • KPI monthly tracking for the first 18 months of a product life and generate reports for monthly FoodState leadership meetings.
  • Lead in generating all preliminary and working forecasts to support business cases and operational commercialization.   
  • Quarterly evaluation and reporting of product sales to identify where products/category performance is relative to market place and product life cycle.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Natural products industry experience with specialty in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals or functional foods is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in CPG product development or new product marketing plan/execution.
  • Understands best practices in labeling and marketing of CPG products.
  • Established track record and proficiency in bringing new products to market is essential.
  • Strong verbal communication, analytical and writing skills.
  • Project management and proven ability to oversee and execute on several projects concurrently.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

In this new role, the Digital Channel Sales Leader will be responsible for the oversight, leadership and development of FoodState's national and international ecommerce business, for both the MegaFood and INNATE Response brands.   The successful leader will motivate and develop a team, strategize with our home office team as an ecommerce sales expert, as well as collaborate in developing our digital sales brand and go-to-market strategies.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy and go-to-market plan; increase revenue and profits within the ecommerce space.
  • Act as Account Manager for specific ecommerce customers 
  • Lead the ecommerce team focused on the Foodstate portfolio
  • Collaborate on FoodState's digital excellence initiatives
  • Ensure that our ecommerce strategies are aligned with and meet the needs of the selling organization
  • Provide strategic direction, structure, development, and guidance on how best to build our ecommerce business

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Digital Product Project Manager will lead and manage digital product and technology focused project(s). The project(s) will span technologies and platforms and have a wide business impact across departments.  The delivery of these digital product project(s) have been identified as part of the overall FoodState Digital Strategy.
The successful candidate will manage day-to-day planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting for project-related initiatives, potentially spanning multiple web sites and brands, marketing, sales and operations, and both domestic and international.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:         

  • Will be a key contributor of the cross-functional FoodState Digital team and will work closely with business stakeholders, partners and project team members to manage project timelines from inception to launch
  • Will be responsible for delivery of the User Experience (UX), User Interaction (UI) and Interface Design, Development, Testing and User testing of project- working closely with a team of Business and Product Owners as well as external partners
  • Manage the design of insight-driven digital UX, ensuring optimization of consumer journey across the digital landscape 
  • Will manage the integration of website analytics, business objectives, and technology capabilities to drive design and digital requirements scope for new digital capabilities
  • Partner with business project team members, vendors, internal IT team, and testing teams to scope, develop, and deploy new website experiences
  • Will have a strong knowledge of Agile as well as other Project Management Methodologies
  • Will work with project team and extended team members on a day to day basis: gathering business requirements, development with potentially offshore teams, project plans and timelines, running daily meetings with delivery teams, informing management at all levels
  • Develop project risk management plans; documentation of management systems and tools, ensuring complete and accurate records of processes and systems
  • Working directly with marketing and IT in bringing custom offerings directly to our consumer base in the most effective, informative way possible
  • Plan and implement components of our launch with a focus on pricing, offerings and custom kits
  • Provide insight when it comes to consumer behaviors, buying habits and transaction commonalities
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to the Marketing Team on the evolution of the FoodState commerce site as far as content/assets that will meet the needs of our customers and ultimately drive our business
  • Confidently leads cross-functional business and external teams to project success, using the most appropriate project management methodology
  • Coordinate the launch of a new commerce site
  • Ensures timely and appropriate generation, collection, and dissemination of project information

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5-7 years experience as Digital Project Manager and/or in eCommerce operations
  • Experience with delivery of Agile projects is essential. An understanding of best practice Agile Project Management approaches and how to apply them
  • Knowledge of management principles and practices including budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures
  • Solid digital experience working across large websites, mobile to desktop
  • Experience working with offshore teams and agencies
  • Familiarity and appreciation of the strengths and weaknesses of a range of technologies is useful

Utilizes USP or established methods to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze routine substances.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Prepares chemical reagents needed to perform routine testing. 
  • Conducts ordering and stocking of laboratory supplies.
  • Provides assistance with chemical tracking and disposal. 
  • Recommends new and replacement supplies and equipment necessary to meet client requests and quality objectives.  

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  •  1 – 2 years laboratory experience.

This position will be responsible for all facets of work in the raw material warehouse, including, but not limited to: physical and systematic raw material movements, inbound and outbound material movements and supporting the manufacturing departments.  This position will also support the Inventory Control team by performing cycle counts of our products, researching inventory variances, and entering adjustments in the perpetual inventory, all while respecting company system transaction policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Build raw material kits for Manufacturing departments
  • Perform daily cycle counts, entering necessary inventory adjustments in the perpetual inventory system
  • Check received items against packing list and record discrepancies
  • Data entry of receipts, stockroom, and shipped items
  • Document incoming and outgoing material and supplies
  • Must follow prescribed procedures for safeguarding, storage, handling and accounting for item and material designated as classified, restricted, special project, or high priority
  • Follows and comprehends written instructions/requests
  • Communicates inventory concerns with Inventory Control, Fulfillment, Production Planning & Manufacturing departments
  • Assists in monthly and year end physical inventory activities

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Guide, instruct, and coordinate all phases of warehouse operations.
  • Lead the coordination of receiving materials.
  • Lead inventory management and the efficient flow of materials as these materials are converted to finished products.
  • Ensure the effective deployment of finished goods through the shipping department to customers.
  • Reinforces departmental standards and practices through training and development of associates.
  • Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures in order to improve warehousing operations by maximizing output, ensuring quality, and minimize related expenses.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Thorough knowledge of material handling inventory control and operation.
  • Exposure to GMP’s and SOP's in a food manufacturing or distribution setting preferred.
  • 1 year of directly related experience required, preferably within food manufacturing.
  • Must be available to work overtime as needed.

SKILLS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform in demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate ideas and be a self-starter.           
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel, Sage Pro a plus.
