2025 B Corp Recertification

2025 B Corp Recertification

What are B Corps?

A Certified B Corporation is a business that meets high standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. Awarded by the nonprofit B Lab, this certification signifies that a company operates for the benefit of all stakeholders—workers, communities, customers, and the planet—rather than just shareholders.

In short: B Corps use business as a force for good.

MegaFood®: Our B Corp Journey

As a supplement company dedicated to supporting the health of our consumers, MegaFood understands that the health of people and the health of planet go hand in hand. We are passionate about supporting both, and our B Corp certification is a mark of our commitment. MegaFood® first achieved B Corp Certification in 2018, and is one of around 2,000 companies in the US to attain this standard. In December 2025, we completed our third recertification with a score of 115.4—a 42% improvement over our previous review!

This milestone reflects our shift toward a more collaborative and focused impact strategy. Our overall improved score was driven by:

  1. Environmental Action: We’ve leveled up our sustainability strategy by measuring our full footprint, setting a range of environmental targets, and implementing steps to attain those targets. From diverting manufacturing waste from the landfill to sourcing many USDA Organic ingredients and supporting nonprofit, third-party chemical safety and ingredient transparency certifiers, like The Detox Project through Glyphosate Residue Free Certifications, we are supporting a healthier planet.
  2. Wellness Commitment: As always, we maintain the highest standards for our consumers by sourcing clinically researched and science-backed ingredients to ensure our products truly support your health.
  3. Strategic Giving: We’re driving impact beyond our supply chain through 1% for the Planet, supporting soil health and the well-being of women, children, and farmers worldwide.

The Evolution of B Corp Requirements

At the beginning of 2026, B Lab began recertifying existing B Corps using updated B Lab Standards V2.1. The requirements have evolved to ensure companies continue to lead the shift toward a more inclusive and regenerative economy. This is essential if the business community is to drive the changes needed to address the biggest challenges we face on the planet. The new standard requires specific and measurable actions across seven core areas:

  • Purpose & Governance: Embedding impact into the company's legal DNA.
  • Fair Work & JEDI: Advancing Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
  • Human Rights: Protecting dignity throughout the supply chain.
  • Climate Action: Implementing rigorous decarbonization strategies.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Committing to circularity and resource preservation.
  • Government Affairs: Using corporate influence to advance collective policy.
  • Collective Action: Partnering to solve systemic global challenges.

While we are proud of the significant improvement we made as a company, we will keep up the hard work as we continue to embed sustainability into everything we do here at MegaFood and prepare for our next recertification under the new standards – from how we source, make, and deliver our products, to how we advocate, give, and support inclusivity.

Why B Corp Matters

For consumers, the B Corp logo is a "trust mark" proving a brand’s claims are verified by independent experts. For employees, it represents a workplace committed to fair wages, diversity, and ethical leadership.

The Bottom Line

Being a B Corp isn’t about being perfect; it’s about continuous improvement, accountability, and contributing to systemic change for the benefit of the whole. By choosing B Corp brands, you are supporting a global movement to build a more sustainable and equitable future.
