Probiotics are naturally sensitive to elevated temperatures and will begin to die off when exposed to elevated temperatures for prolonged periods of time. With that being said, we take many steps to ensure that the probiotic product you receive is still thriving! The first step is to ensure that the probiotics remain frozen from their time of manufacture until they leave our facility on their way to you or one of our retail partners. We ship the probiotics from this frozen state. Based on a countrywide travel study we conducted, we were able to determine that this method ensures the product remains potent, while also limiting our carbon footprint as cold-packing materials are not required.

- How long for your body to get used to the probiotic? Day 2 and feeling very bloated

- I bought online the Megaflora Probiotic Original. How long can it maintain optimal potency without being refrigerated? The packaging didn't contain an ice pack.
- To maintain the quality and integrity you expect, we include an overage of hearty and stable strains, which has been confirmed via testing. Our studies have indicated that temporary exposure to heat during shipping has no impact on bacterial count up to 6 days; and a relatively small reduction at 10 days. Once you receive MegaFlora, it is best to place it directly in the refrigerator.
- I have Crohn’s disease and have been taking the only other probiotic that I could find that does not have dairy. My dietician suggested Megafoods's Megaflora Probiotic Original I have gotten C Diff twice. Does it help.to avoid it. Please let me know.
